I’m a Kiwi girl based in the beautiful Taranaki region (New Zealand). When I’m not in front of my computer, I’m a busy mum of 3, loving wife, avid coffee drinker and donut eater who unintentionally assassinates house plants!
My story.
Growing up in South Africa, I remember going to our local library when I was 16 and they had a graphic exhibition showcasing designs made in CorelDraw. I had never really encountered digital graphics and art before and was absolutely fascinated.
I did an introductory course in the principles of design and taught myself the basics of CorelDraw. Back then, design involved lots of text and clipart images!
Working in and managing design and print shops for a number of years, I learned the value of customer service and the ins and outs of the printing industry before moving to New Zealand in 2011.
I now live in the beautiful Taranaki region on the West Coast of New Zealand’s North Island and am a Kiwi girl at heart.
My passion for design lies in the creative outlet it gives me, but also in the way that simple elements such as colour, text and layout can draw out an emotional response. The first impression a client gets from your branding can inspire immediate trust and confidence and leave them feeling like they’ve known you forever.
Whether working with my clients on a new branding project or a refresh, I love taking a deep dive into their core values and finding out what makes their brand unique. It’s very much a collaborative process. We work together to create a beautiful, intentionally designed brand that tells their story – something they feel proud of. And once their new logo and branding is launched, there’s no better feeling than seeing their business flourish!
